Brooke Katsafados (she/her) is a dance educator, choreographer, and performer from Brick, New Jersey. She recently graduated with a BFA in Dance and a minor in Business from George Mason University, where she honed her artistic voice and passion for teaching.
Brooke is the founder of Brooke Ashlee Modern Movement, a program offering private lessons, choreography, and masterclasses tailored to studios and schools. With a focus on building confidence, creativity, and technical excellence, she has been teaching young dancers since 2020.
Her training began at Shore Dance Center and continued at New Jersey Dance Theatre Ensemble, where she studied ballet, modern, and contemporary. She has performed in works by Manuelle Vignouelle, Susan Shields, and Larry Keigwin, gaining experience in a wide range of styles and performance settings.
Brooke has been honored with the New Jersey Governor’s Award for Artistic Excellence and Leadership in Danceand the NDEO Artistic Merit, Leadership, and Academic Achievement Award, recognizing her commitment to both excellence and mentorship.
Her classes blend control and release, structure and freedom — helping dancers grow not just in technique, but in artistry and self-expression. Brooke’s goal is to create spaces where dancers feel empowered, inspired, and excited to move.
